YSTEM is a uniquely positioned establishment with strong community-based focuses and functions. Born out of the collective efforts of members of disadvantaged areas from the inner-city of Johannesburg, our experiences offer an on-the- ground perspective with the intellectual posturing of young, motivated individuals.

Our values are centered around the idea that the only constant is innovation. The ability to achieve more with what is at our disposal is essentially what drives us.

We have dedicated ourselves to developing a team that comprises of social-activists, future-orientated, and real-time conscious members that understand the immediacy of the challenges our target group faces today.

Not only do we recognize the nuanced need of science and technology amongst young South African society, but we also acknowledge the social and economic gaps that hinder the ease of access and honing towards grasping strong foundations in these scarce skills.
